Electrode material selection
Good material - long durability
Once you have decided that the iontophoresis treatment is an option for you and you have chosen the perfect iontophoresis device, the next question will be the choice of electrodes.
What is the perfect material: stainless steel, aluminum, or silicone?
Our recommendation is clearly stainless steel.
Why stainless steel? It's a very durable metal with a smooth surface, which makes it a very poor breeding ground for dirt or bacteria.
Therefore, stainless steel is easy to disinfect and clean: it can withstand even boiling water with ease. This material is very sturdy, long-lasting, hygienic, and easy to handle.
For this reason, we offer a long-term guarantee of 15 years on all our stainless steel products!
BINDNER MEDICAL ELECTRODES: RECOMMENDED GUARANTEE
Should you follow our recommendation and be dissatisfied with the stainless steel electrodes for whatever reason, we will exchange them for aluminum or silicone electrodes - free of charge!
Choice of electrode material
You prefer another electrode material?
Aluminum electrodes: Aluminum is definitely an option, but due to the diminished hardness of the material, we consider it suboptimal compared to the stainless steel electrodes. However, if maintained properly, it can last a long time. With careful handling, we offer a guarantee of 10 years on our aluminum electrodes.
Silicone electrodes: 25 months guarantee.
This selection guide answers basic questions regarding the material selection according to the following criteria:
- Durability (stainless steel and aluminum)
- Easy cleaning and hygiene (stainless steel)
